The secrets that have seen a luxury sports car stay ahead of a vast and competitive field during a 100-year history will be shared with Dorset business leaders at an event next month.

The www.IoD.com Dorset Branch has teamed up with its Hampshire counterpart to host the evening at Meridien Modena in High Street, Lyndhurst, that will offer the rare opportunity to get the inside story on the Maserati brand.

Mike Biscoe, Head of Marketing at www.Maserati.co.uk GB, will outline the Maserati recovery story at the informal networking event on August 12, starting at 6pm.

“I am delighted to have this opportunity to share some of the great history of Maserati with the Institute of Directors, as well as some thoughts about our current success and outlook for the future,” he said.

Maserati has played a consistently high profile role in the development of sports car culture across the globe. The business has experienced moments of glory as well as more difficult times which have all helped forge the company's character and personality.

It was acquired by Fiat Group in 1993, managed by sister-brand Ferrari between 1997 and 2005, and today prides itself in its innovation in the management of human resources and the working environment, and transparency in customer relations.
Philip Warr, Chairman of the Dorset Branch of the Institute of Directors, said: “The Maserati history involves more than glorious sporting achievements and the launch of great road cars. The company has also developed industrially over the years.
“This evening will be a great opportunity to hear some stories behind the values of this brand and will give an insight in how those values and experiences could benefit other businesses in the same position.
“This will be a relatively informal networking event with drinks and canapes throughout and opportunities to talk with the Modena Team.”
