Cornerstone is a not-for-profit housing association which provides homes for more than 2,000 people, across 1,300 properties in Exeter and the surrounding areas.

After reaching the halfway point of a £5 million restoration of historic alms-houses in the city, to provide social housing for the over 60s, Cornerstone wanted to hold an event to raise awareness of the project. KOR worked closely with its team to organise and publicise a reception which took place in the grounds of the newly refurbished homes.

By identifying and inviting key stakeholders, the event successfully enabled Cornerstone to forge vital connections with key influencers and decision makers in Exeter and Devon. A media call was also co-ordinated by KOR and staff were briefed on key messages, before being interviewed by journalists. The publicity achieved extensive broadcast and print coverage, raising awareness of the properties available and prompting new enquiries.
