Taylor Wimpey are Joint Venture Partners with our client Clinton Devon Estates on a development of up to 350 properties in Exmouth, to meet the need for new homes in East Devon.
The company required a community consultation to support its planning application. KOR had previously worked on the public consultation and strategic communications in support of the outline application on behalf of landowner Clinton Devon Estates. Due to the scale of the proposed development, further public consultation and a full Statement of Community Involvement (SoCI) was required to form part of the full planning application.
KOR publicised the consultation through the local media, wrote to those potentially affected and other key stakeholders, managed a dedicated website, and provided methods of offering feedback. We also facilitated meetings and conversations between neighbours and the project partners. Following the consultation, KOR produced a SoCI as part of the final planning application, which was approved by East Devon District Council’s Development Management Committee.
