Cavanna Homes - 14 December 2018
A turf cutting ceremony has marked the start of building work at Cavanna Homes’ latest development, Barley Meadow in Dawlish, which will be connected to the town centre with a new cycle path being funded by the homebuilder.
The town’s mayor, Councillor Lisa Mayne was joined on site by representatives of the award-winning, Torquay based Cavanna Homes – Build Manager Andy Sykes, Site Manager Ian Crighton-Brown and Head of Sales and Marketing, Beverley Bridge.
Cllr Lisa Mayne said:
This is a very exciting time for Dawlish with a new development of homes coming to our town from Cavanna Homes whose recent Aspects development proved very popular with local families. It’s great to see work begin at Barley Meadow and I look forward to watching the site take shape over time.
Barley Meadow is opposite Cavanna Homes’ recent Aspects development and will feature 74 two to four-bedroom homes off Secmaton Lane in Dawlish. The first new homes will be ready in summer 2019.
As well as helping to fund the new cycle path, the Cavanna Homes development will pay for additional primary school resources, public open space and recreation facilities and habitat improvements for the Cirl Bunting.
Barley Meadow is close to the coast and countryside and within a short walk of the train station which offers easy access to Exeter and Newton Abbot. The town centre and out of town supermarkets are all within easy reach; by foot, car, bike or bus.
Head of Sales and Marketing Beverley Bridge said:
Barley Meadow combines living near the coast, countryside and transport links, making this development a great location for families and commuters alike. We are very excited to launch Barley Meadow, and we very much look forward to welcoming visitors to our Marketing Suite and show home in the New Year.
